Just outside my old apartment was a little park, that took on a strange feeling when night falls. Ground-up lights along the fence cast a bizarre glow up into the surrounding trees, especially stirring in the early spring, before the trees are filled with leaves. Sitting outside drawing in the dark was quite an experience, as I had to let my eyes adjust to the paper each time I looked down at the drawing, or else I was unable to see my work.
