A Spring Demolition - Etching - 2009 -11 1/4 " x 13 5/8 " - Edition 40- $300
One spring, they demolished a run-down yet rather famous old structure in Portsmouth (where I was living at the time) which once housed the Pier II seafood restaurant. Midway through the process I did a drawing of the action, which was ideally framed between a telephone pole and the Memorial Bridge (which is itself a potential candidate for demolition). I enjoyed doing the drawing, but I had to hustle to make it on time to my night job. Below is the drawing that inspired the print.
